Allstar Academy - Banjo, Mandolin and Fiddle

Mike Saunders Mandolin and Fiddle	Mike Saunders is a multi instrumentalist specializing in traditional American and Celtic music styles, and comes to Allstar with thirty plus years of performing and teaching experience. He will be offering beginning lessons for adults in Bluegrass and Clawhammer Banjo, beginning Folk fiddling, Mandolin, and Folk Fingerpicking Guitar. He will also offer intermediate to advanced lessons in Cape Breton Fiddle, Clawhammer Banjo, Melodic Fingerpicking Guitar and Country Blues Guitar. these advanced lessons require prior experience with the instrument and an initial interview with Mike.
Luke Dewhirst Banjo	Luke Dewhirst is a local banjo player and instructor who is making a name for himself in the national bluegrass music community.  At age 11, he was sponsored by OME banjos with the banjo he still plays to this day.  After competing in several local competitions, Luke traveled to Colorado where he won the 2009 Rockygrass bluegrass banjo competition.  He is currently a member of two active bands in the Northwest: The Bluegrass Regulators, and Runaway Train.
