Luke Dewhirst is a local banjo player and instructor who is making a name for himself in the national bluegrass music community. At age 11, he was sponsored by OME banjos with the banjo he still plays to this day. After competing in several local competitions, Luke traveled to Colorado where he won the 2009 Rockygrass bluegrass banjo competition. He is currently a member of two active bands in the Northwest: The Bluegrass Regulators, and Runaway Train.
